Energetic and elegiac
A small village north of Copenhagen: Edvard Grieg spent the summer of 1868 in Søllerød, where he was able to work on his piano concerto, which bears witness to his admiration for Robert Schumann. Its performance by Lise de la Salle promises to be equally energetic and elegiac. Depending on the date, Beethoven's 7th or Mahler's 1st Symphony is also on the Vienna Symphony Orchestra's program.
