Performers:
Gile Bae, piano
A Pianist with Radiance
Gile Bae is one of the most exciting pianists of her generation. She captivated her first audience at the age of five and achieved international recognition early in her career. Gile won several Steinway competitions and is a proud Steinway Artist.
Today, she inspires audiences around the world. Most recently, she completed an acclaimed tour across South America, and this year she will perform throughout Asia and Europe, with appearances in among others Seoul and Busan, before returning to South America to continue her socially driven projects that bring music directly to communities and wider audiences.
In 2026, she made her debut with the Camerata Salzburg, performing Schumann’s Piano Concerto and with the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5.
What distinguishes her is not only her technical brilliance and unmistakable stage presence, but above all her ability to infuse music with genuine emotion, intensity, and vitality. Rather than preserving classical music as something distant or untouchable, she seeks to restore its immediacy, meaning, and joy, making it accessible both to seasoned concertgoers and to those experiencing classical music for the very first time.
Her artistic vision opens doors, especially for young musicians and for anyone wishing to rediscover classical music as something deeply human: intimate, vibrant, and full of feeling.
Gile Bae Returns to Konzerthaus – The Art of Sound
Following her warmly received debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus in October 2025, where she performed her recital to a sold-out Mozart Hall, Gile Bae returns to the Konzerthaus on October 2nd this year. The program will be announced shortly.
