The sound of Vienna
30 years of Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln: The fascination for the old and new Viennese dances remains unbroken even after this time. But what are 30 years in the flow of Viennese dances? The Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln play a program of their greatest hits, commemorate their deceased colleague Walther Soyka and also let the new generation have their say. They dedicate themselves to Schrammel music in its most original form, but in the guise of our time: countless old »Weana Tanz« and marches provide them with inspiration for something new.
Anniversary
The ensemble was founded with the aim of drawing more attention to Viennese folk music in the instrumental field with fresh expression and new forms of music. They have certainly succeeded: The Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln can now point to numerous recordings and collaborations with actors and singers such as Wolfram Berger, Karl Ferdinand Kratzl, Karl Markovics, Traude Holzer, Willi Resetarits, Elfriede Ott and others. The Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln have carried the sound of Vienna across the globe - and are now bringing it to the Wiener Konzerthaus to celebrate their anniversary.
