Spanish Riding School Vienna – Tradition, Elegance, and Equestrian Art at Its Finest
The Spanish Riding School Vienna is one of the oldest and most prestigious equestrian institutions in the world. For over 450 years, it has preserved the art of classical horsemanship in the tradition of the Renaissance High School, a discipline that is uniquely maintained at this historic institution.
The school is particularly famous for its white Lipizzaner horses, which captivate audiences with their graceful movements, intricate dressage exercises, and elegant choreography. In the magnificent Winter Riding School of the Hofburg Palace, an 18th-century Baroque masterpiece, visitors can witness breathtaking performances that combine exquisite horsemanship with imperial grandeur.
In addition to the renowned morning exercises and gala performances, visitors can book exclusive behind-the-scenes tours to experience the training of the Lipizzaner horses up close.
