“La tempesta di mare” RV 253 è un concerto per violino di Antonio Vivaldi, pubblicato nel 1725 nella raccolta Il cimento dell’armonia e dell’inventione (la stessa che contiene Le Quattro Stagioni). Il brano descrive musicalmente una tempesta in mare: i movimenti esterni, entrambi Presto, evocano il vento, le onde e la forza della natura attraverso passaggi rapidi e virtuosistici del violino, mentre il movimento centrale Largo rappresenta un momento di calma e quiete tra le burrasche. È uno dei migliori esempi della musica “a programma” di Vivaldi, capace di trasformare immagini ed eventi naturali in suoni.

“La tempesta di mare” (The Storm at Sea), RV 253, “La tempesta di mare” (The Storm at Sea), RV 253, is a violin concerto by Antonio Vivaldi, published in 1725 in the collection Il cimento dell’armonia e dell’inventione, which also includes The Four Seasons. The concerto vividly depicts a storm at sea: the fast outer movements (Presto) evoke strong winds, crashing waves, and the power of nature through brilliant and virtuosic violin passages, while the central Largo provides a moment of calm and reflection between the storms. It is a fine example of Vivaldi’s programmatic style, in which music is used to portray scenes and events from the natural world.

All Saints' Church is an active English-speaking congregation representing the Anglican Communion in Rome, Italy.

The church building is a very fine red-brick construction in a neo-gothic style, situated in the Via del Babuino, about 100 meters from the Spanish Steps. The architect was George Edmund Street (1824 – 1881). It is regularly used for concerts, as well as for the church services.
