The evening opens with Interplay by Jerome Robbins – a lively homage to youth, joy, and playful rivalry on an imaginary playground. Robbins, one of the greatest choreographers of the 20th century, combines classical ballet with jazz elements to create a dynamic choreography bearing his unmistakable signature.

The middle part features two expressive pas de deux: Dispatch Duet by Pam Tanowitz playfully distorts classical ballet vocabulary to a contemporary composition by Ted Hearne, offering humorous twists. Each In Their Own Time by Lar Lubovitch, one of America's most versatile choreographers, was created during the Covid pandemic. It captures an intimate encounter between two dancers with profound emotion and architectural clarity, set to live piano music by Johannes Brahms.

The evening concludes with Let Me Mingle Tears With Thee by Jessica Lang, inspired by Pergolesi's famous Stabat mater. Flowing, at times powerful and tender movements make the sacred music come alive in a moving visual experience.
