In 1964, a successful architect designed a glass holiday home for himself and his family, which would be destroyed over 60 years later. The house: a place for several generations, where different generations discuss, argue, celebrate, and love each other. But also a place where lies are told, secrets are kept, and fights are waged without regard for the consequences. In the holiday home, the family is experienced as both an oasis and a prison.

Simon Stone stages a grand family epic: He draws on material and motifs from the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen and has developed a new version of his play IBSEN HOUSE, which he premiered in Amsterdam in 2017, for the BURG.
