A book like a dream, as groundbreaking as it is controversial: Sigmund Freud's THE DREAM INTERPRETATION is as impenetrable as the soul it examines. A confused guide to the scenes of dreams and thus to the ego, which, according to Freud, dreams are exclusively about. Until the end of his life, he considered THE DREAM INTERPRETATION his most important work, a founding document of psychoanalysis and a scientific guide to understanding dreams. Freud was convinced that he could solve the puzzles of dreams and thereby find access to the soul, which he described as an obscure wishing machine.

The British-Irish theater duo Dead Center create adaptations of the great works of our Western culture that are as witty as they are entertaining, always relishing the separation between the fiction on stage and the reality in the audience. In this production, which premiered in 2020, the audience can expect a theatrical dream workshop created by Dr. Freud's treatment room at Berggasse 19 leads to our children's room.
