Brilliant Piano Concerto
Among Prokofiev's five brilliant Piano Concertos, the third in C major op. 26, composed between 1917 and 1921, is considered the most popular. Motoric energy, harmonic acuity, folk song-like and lyrical elements are wonderfully balanced in it. Alexandre Kantorov, who was the first French pianist to win the renowned Tchaikovsky Competition in 2019, takes us on this original sound journey. The Filarmonica della Scala will also perform Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4 under the baton of Riccardo Chailly.
