Johann Sebastian Bach Musikschule 25 Jahre Jubiläum
02.10.2025 | 19:00 | Wiener Konzerthaus - Mozartsaal
After a year filled with celebratory concerts, the Johann Sebastian Bach Music School (JSBM) crowns its 25th anniversary with the ultimate highlight: a magnificent concert at the Vienna Konzerthaus on October 2, 2025.
This special evening takes the audience on a musical journey through unique soundscapes—from classical masterpieces to contemporary premieres. Pieces composed especially for this concert, such as Human Zoo by Nefeli Anastassiou and Lilac & Gold by Jonathan Andrew Davis, highlight the vibrancy and creativity that have defined the JSBM for a quarter of a century.
Under the direction of faculty members and guest conductors, students of the JSBM, along with guests from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw), will showcase their talents. The program ranges from John Williams' rousing Olympic Fanfare and Theme to Piazzolla's passionate Fuga y Misterio, as well as enchanting arrangements from The Hobbit and How to Train Your Dragon. Further highlights include Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar Overture and David Popper's virtuosic Polonaise de Concert, featuring soloist Nicolas Altenburger.
This concert is not only a celebration of music but also a tribute to the community that has sustained the JSBM for 25 years. Experience the enthusiasm and talent of our young musicians and let yourself be enchanted by an unforgettable evening filled with emotion and musical brilliance.
