Kiki Rockwell - Europe Tour 2026

Geboren in San Francisco, aufgewachsen in Deutschland und Neuseeland, lässt sich Kiki Rockwell (she/they) von düsteren Märchen, Mythologie und den Geschichten der vergessenen Helden der Geschichte inspirieren. Sie schreibt und produziert alle ihre Werke und mischt dabei ätherische Streicher, dunkle elektronische Synthesizer, rituelle Drums und eine fast klösterliche Gesangsschichttechnik.

Kiki scheut sich nicht, Genres zu vermischen, um einen ganz eigenen Sound zu schaffen. Ihre begeisterte Fangemeinde ist mit Hilfe ihrer cineastischen, fantasievollen Musikvideos und ihrer starken Präsenz in den sozialen Medien schnell gewachsen.

Aber es sind dieTexte, die wie ein Schwert schneiden. Kiki sieht sich selbst vor allem als Geschichtenerzählerin, die mit ihren Worten einen Wandteppich aus queerer Liebe, Hexen, Sirenen, Kelpies und Feenvolk webt. Obwohl ihre Geschichten von ätherischer Natur sind, wurzeln sie in sehr realen Themen, vor allem in den Kämpfen der modernen Frauen und der Geschichte, die sich ständig wiederholt.

Place

WUK is a 12000-square-metre space of culture, workshops, and social gathering. Located in one of the biggest cultural centres of Europe, it is also at the intersection of artistic practice, labour, and political engagement. WUK offers a cultural space where one can contemplate, discuss, and explore. The former locomotive factory is now home to our four main program areas (music, theatre/dance, children's culture, arts at Kunsthalle Exnergasse:), 150 independent cultural groups and initiatives, and educational and advisory projects. WUK provides a venue as well as organizational support to those interested in art, politics, and social engagement. We offer various opportunities to get involved, including the use of the venue and organization support for social, artistic, or political projects. Active participation, self-management, and grassroots democracy form the basic philosophy of WUK. Our association is driven by our employees, friends, sponsors, artists, and visitors.
