Maria Clara Groppler – EHEFRAU
Warum also ausgerechnet jetzt anfangen?

Place
The Tuchfabrik Trier is a socio-cultural center and a cabaret in Trier.
Trier (French Trèves, Luxembourg Tréier) is a county-level city in the west of the country Rhineland-Palatinate. With about 110,000 inhabitants, it is after Mainz, Ludwigshafen am Rhein and Koblenz its fourth largest city.
The city was founded more than 2000 years ago under the name Augusta Treverorum (from the second half of the 3rd century Treveris) and claimed the title of the oldest city in Germany for itself. Trier refers here to the longest history as already recognized by the Romans city, as opposed to a settlement or an army camp.
The Roman monuments in Trier have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. These include amphitheater, Barbara Baths, Imperial Baths, Constantine Basilica, Porta Nigra, Roman Bridge and the Igeler column in hedgehogs. The core Romanesque cathedral and the early Gothic Liebfrauenkirche are also part of Trier's World Cultural Heritage. In addition, Trier has cultural monuments from almost every epoch from prehistory to the 21st century.
Trier is the seat of the University of Trier and the University of Trier, the administration of the district Trier-Saarburg, the administration of the Verbandsgemeinde Trier-Land, the supervision and service directorate (ADD, until 1999 district government Trier), several departments of the State Investigation Office (LUA), one Department of the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Care Rhineland-Palatinate and a Roman Catholic diocese (Diocese of Trier, the oldest north of the Alps) and the Protestant church Trier.
