Cheerful and tragic
She was able to express herself earlier with the piano than with speech: Alice Sara Ott began playing the piano at the age of four and won first prize at five. The stage quickly became a place of refuge for her. With the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, with whom she has a close working relationship, she can now be heard in Beethoven's cheerful 1st Piano Concerto in C major. This is contrasted in the second half of the concert by a selection of movements from Prokofiev's suites to the ballet »Romeo and Juliet« based on Shakespeare's tragedy. The colorful and richly orchestrated music to the world's most famous love story oscillates between tender love poetry and dramatic force.
