The charismatic and popular opera star Rolando Villazón will celebrate the big anniversary of his favorite composer in 2026: Wolfgang Amadé Mozart! On the 270th birthday of the musical genius, Rolando Villazón invites you to celebratory concerts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The program revolves around arias and scenes for kings, emperors and a bird catcher, with music from Mozart operas such as Idomeneo, La clemenza di Tito, Il re pastore and The Magic Flute.
Rolando Villazón lives in Paris. He is considered one of the most versatile artists of our time and is also known as a director, writer, TV and radio personality, director of the Salzburg Mozart Week and artistic director of the Mozarteum Foundation.
270 years of Mozart anniversary with star tenor Rolando Villazón is a unique Mozart experience for the whole family. The PRJCT Amsterdam orchestra will be taking part under the direction of its founder Maarten Engeltjes. The PRJCT Amsterdam orchestra has been delighting audiences with its refreshing joy of playing since 2017 and is one of the most exciting orchestras for early music.
