The Dublin Legends

Wo die Dublin Legends auftreten, verwandeln sie Konzertsäle innerhalb weniger Minuten in irische Pubs. Die Bandmitglieder benötigen aber keine Spezialeffekte, ihre Kraft beruht dabei allein auf ihren Stimmen und instrumentaler Virtuosität. Séan Cannon (Gesang / Gitarre) ist mit fast jeder Folk-Band in Großbritannien aufgetreten und gehörte ab 1982 zu den regulären Bandmitgliedern der Dubliners. Die unvergleichliche Stimme von Paul Watchorn (Gesang / Gitarre / Banjo) ist geradezu gemacht für Irish Folk. Gerry O'Connor (Violine / Banjo) spielte bereits mit namhaften Künstlern wie Mary Black, Moya Brennan oder The Waterboys und tourte mit dem berühmten amerikanischen Bluesrock-Gitarristen Joe Bonamassa. Shay Kavanagh (Gesang / Gitarre) tritt seit 2018 als Nachfolger von Eamonn Campbell auf. In seiner Jugend gründete Shay seine eigene Folk-Band mit Mary Black als Leadsängerin und schon 2016 sprang er vorübergehend bei den Legends für den erkrankten Eamonn ein. Mit diesem Quartett befindet sich das musikalische Erbe der Dubliners in guten Händen.
