With wit, charm and ukulele
Whether at a private concert of the Queen in Windsor Castle, at the BBC Proms or in New York's Carnegie Hall: the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain never leaves a dry eye in the house. With the four strings of their instruments and their presentations, peppered with British humor, they have been providing first-class musical entertainment for forty years now. Once again, they embark on a fast-paced journey through the genres, from ABBA to ZZ Top, from Tchaikovsky to Nirvana, from bluegrass to Lady Gaga - all plucked on the »bonsai guitar«, the ukulele. And on the occasion of its 40th anniversary, it is also declaring war on the seriousness of life with plenty of humor and music.
