France, 100 years ago: Two small villages have been feuding for generations, though no one really remembers why. While the adults are busy with farm work and taverns, it is the children who carry on the fight, clashing regularly in the woods. Gradually, they begin to realize that unity is more important than rivalry. However, a final confrontation threatens to turn their playful battles into serious conflict.

Louis Pergaud's famous novel, known worldwide especially since its 1962 film adaptation, tells a timeless story of friendship and enmity, of winning and losing, of young and old children alike. Johanna Arrouas brings this classic to the stage with her own witty and heartfelt interpretation.
